Stupid Machines....

Last thursday our washing machine broke down. It has already happend for the nth time and it is a real bother when it breaks down because we have to wait for the company technician to come over to fix it. Recently, it has been breaking down for about 2 weeks interval but I learned how to remedy the situation (thanks to the technician and my engineering degree) . Rats have eaten up some of the wires near the control panel. It's easy to patch it up with electric tape and the washing machine is up and ready to wash again. I can't remedy this last down time so we have to call the company again to service our machine. The recent down time according to the technician is caused by 2 pcs IC. They charged us almost Php 1k for it. Stupid ICs. The bulk of the fee went to the service charge for finding out what the problem is and putting the 2 ICs in the control panel. These companies sure know how to make money.

The day before our washing machine broke down our PC also broke down. The damn thing wouldn't boot. We couldn't figure out what the problem is so last friday my brother took the the CPU to one of my favorite computer store PC Express and have it examined. They made it to work and couldn't find what went wrong. We, me and my brothers, decided that we purchase new parts for it so that it wouldn't be a hassle to us if it breaks down again. They are already doing their thesis and it is important that our PC is in tip top shape or its bye bye for graduation.

Salesman

I am now a salesman. haha. Right now I am working for Okaya & Co., LTD as a salesman. The company deals with trading. The deal with mostly steel trading but they also do business with other metals and machineries. The pay is low but I'm enjoying myself. Php 8,000 taxable income + Php 1,320 meal allowance + Php 1,320 transpo allownce for a total of Php 10,640. They also gave me a company phone with Globe plan 2500.

Right now I file the different documents of the current sales, update on the payments of customers, and visit clients. The fun part is the visiting of clients. I get to go to different plants in Cavite and Laguna.

They gave me a welcoming meal on my first week at Congo Grill. I was very full after that. I also get free lunch whenever my boss and I visit clients and its lunch time.

I get to practice what I have learned from the university when clients have problems with our products like the one with the drawing of wire rod problem. My collegue, boss and I found the solution to their problem and I made a report stating what their problem really is which is thier machine.

What's up?

Updating my blog after a long time, so what's up with me for the past months?

After being nagged by my father to go to an interview from an want ad he found in the chinese newspaper, I found a job. Basically what I applied for in this job is to handle computers. The company engages in selling lenses and "sako" bags imported from China. They currently have 2 stores, 1 in divisoria and 1 in quiapo both in Manila. Summarizing my experience here, the computer part of my job is just to encode inventory datas from my boss' store. Working for 6 days in week for 10 hours a day. First few weeks are like hell. Cleaning the stockroom to convert it from a warehouse to an office with 3 PCs. Became a translator for everyone that he cannot communicate with. Following weeks are more than hell. Everyday I have to walk a few kilometers back and forth from the office to the store in divisoria and back again opening and closing the store. Counting stocks almost everyday to keep track of the inventory. The thing that made me fed up was when we had an order for customize bags, the customer change their mind and I have to take responsibility for it. My boss thought that the pattern has already been made and it costs alot. His voice blaring in my ear for almost half the day. The next day after taking a lecture and his blaring voice I got scolded again for the letter writting me and my collegue made for him for the Philippine embassy. The timing was right for me to leave this job with an AWOL, because during this time its almost the 15th of the month and I just needed to get my salary. I really hated that job.

Currently, I am now working in a japanese trading firm. 80% of my experience is good and the rest is bad. hehe. I am thanking Joy for helping me get this job.

Graduation and Beyond

Graduated last Oct 9. I still can't believe that I already graduated. Oct. 6 was the practice date, picture taking, getting my "toga" or academic attire. Need to find a job or I might be kicked out of my house.

While doing nothing, My attention is now focused on pRO. I switched back to the chaos server last Sept. due to some reasons like my brothers' guild is forming a new one and they need more people and some reasons about the Iris server that I would not like to discuss. I made a blacksmith and still named it reikoku. It is now lvl 76 and going to 77. We already got an "agit" so the formation of the new guild's objective was already met. The only problem now is to defend it more and get the people to be more organized.

The other day accenture called and ask if I'm interested to work for them. They saw my resume at jobstreet. I told them yes and that I already took one of their exams 2 years ago. They said that they will look at it. Waiting for them to call again. This may be my chance to get a job.

Time to Graduate

Sorry for the late post. We finished the thesis and we passed. We just need to finilize the requirements like a 15-minute video of our thesis and softcopies of our documentation. Finally I am now entitled to have this degree and find a job. I finished the lessons that I needed to study in my special class. Just need to ask my professor on what to do next and I am off to graduation.
